You're exactly right. Thank you for sharing the ways to stop complaining. The law of attraction works at all times and if we focus on the negative, that is what we will get and vice versa. Gratitude is always the best medicine because we can always find something to be grateful.. always! Thanks again.

I teach the power of choice to my elementary students in my after-school program. You have to get them early so they can teach the adults ;-).

I totally agree with this wonderful article. If you're not careful that negative energy will attach itself to you. I try and make a conscious effort to keep this from happening. :~)))

You are so right! We should all take your advice and be grateful for the people in our lives who we love and who love us. I will make a conscious effort to think positive and push negative thoughts behind. I'm flipping the coin.

I work in a large academic teaching hospital where there is a fair amount of tragedy, suffering and grief. The staff are exposed to incredibly stressful personal interactions and deal with very heavy and burdened situations. There is a definite need to VENT and that can often be confused for complaining. Believe me, a grieving mother does not want to hear that she is attracting negativity and that all she needs to do is choose gratitude. There is an inevitible necessity to go through pain and struggle to find the gratitude and joy. Hope is in the struggle and, in my humble opinion, it is not possible to feel joy or even know that it is joy without going through the suffering that makes the feeling of joy palpable or even namable. So when I vent about the intensity of the suffering that I witness in sitting with a woman who has lost a child, I can only hope that there is an unburdening in the complaining that I do to my co-workers that is not a negativity attractor.
