Yesterday I received an email newsletter that mentioned that we’ve already used half the year up. Wow! Sure I know that it’s June but I didn’t think of it in this context.

This year has truly flown by. But it has all been good. Unlike previous years that flew by, this year I have made it a point to be more conscious of what I’m doing. And I have a coach who has helped me become more aware of what I’m not doing or could be doing better to create the kind of life I desire. As a result, I’ve made many wonderful changes in me and my life; and I’ve enjoyed many amazing experiences and know that many more are to come.

But if not, what are you waiting for? There’s really no right time except for the present.

…But I get it. We often have demons inside that hold us back. We wonder if we can really make it happen. We worry about failing. We worry about taking the wrong step. We think we don’t have enough time or money.

Whatever reason you’ve decided you can’t do something new is just an excuse. It may seem very real and valid. But it’s still an excuse and likely an excuse you’re used to using. It keeps you stuck. And the truth is that your situation may not feel good but it’s still more comfortable than stepping into a ‘new world’.

There comes a time though when you’re sick and tired of feeling sick and tired of the same old thing. This is when I know you’ll make the change.

And with support from others, the transition can be made a lot less scary than trying to do it on your own. (That’s why I have a coach.)

Early this year, I had declared that my intention for 2010 is to Play More and Have More Fun and it’s my hope that more entrepreneurs will join me in experiencing the same.

So many entrepreneurs are stuck in their head with how-to information. They feel like they don’t have enough information to enjoy business success. So they try to learn all the marketing systems. And when they don’t get the results they want, they try harder, work harder, learn more, etc. They then get overwhelmed; they procrastinate; they beat up on themselves. And the cycle repeats.

Yuck! There’s no fun in this.

We all need to make time to have fun and take better care of ourselves.

Of course saying this is easy. Changing your habits to allow in more fun isn’t always easy. If you’re already spending so much time being it all and doing it all, it’s often hard to believe that you can have more time doing what you love.  It’s always easier when you have support from others.

My good friend, Heather Novak, and I are creating a new coaching program to help people better cope with getting their ‘buttons pushed’ and even eliminate these ‘button’s altogether.
